Guadalajara Marketplace as I know it, live it and love it. We've lived here 15 years now. Been coming here since 1971. On the train yet! How I wish there was still a train. $65 USD from Mexicali to Guadalajara, private compartment and bath, dining room with white table cloths. Well, it has changed at bit. But it is still a wonderful city and we are so glad to be here! We live in Colonia Americana now. A new Apartment building just steps from Chapultepec and its exciting restaurants and night life. We have the "penthouse" and a wonderful view of the city. Colonia Santa Teresita is just a few blocks away. Buses going everywhere stop within a few blocks. Prices, while higher than in 1971, are considerably less than California where we come from. If you are looking for a place to live well this is the place to at least come to see. So lets explore together some of the places we use the most. Welcome or Bienvenido as our neighbors say with a smile.
